100 Ah vs. 200 Ah lithium batteries
A 200 Ah battery provides the same amps per hour, or capacity, as two 100 Ah batteries connected in parallel (provided the connections don’t add resistance).
Each battery type has pros and cons, depending on your requirements.
For example, a 200 Ah deep-cycle battery…
- gives you power for longer
- can be less expensive than multiple 100 Ah batteries
- is heavier to move around than individual 100 Ah batteries.
A single 100 Ah battery might suit lower power needs or those at the start of the journey towards full energy independence.
